Love it! It's a favorite model of mine. I think it's an excellent rendering of both the American tanto and the gladius--combining the best features of both in a useful folder. Mike Wallace deserved far more credit than he got for such an innovative design (credit from the knife community at large, that is, not from Cold Steel, which appropriately sang his praises when the knife was released).
Here's mine next to another woefully underrated model, the Counter Point 1, which thankfully still is in production (though a G-10 version would be a welcome upgrade).
It may not look it, but the Immortal is very comfortable in the hand. Those handle grooves are in just the right locations to lock in your grip, no matter the orientation.
I can't answer that one, but I suspect flagging sales killed it.
Demko Knives MWallace
might offer some additional insight. Frankly, I think it just didn't get enough exposure. Its unique looks probably turned away people who wrote it off as impractical, but its blade shape is far more useful than it appears.
Probably not, though it really depends on the show and which vendors are there. The Immortal has been out of production for years. Be aware that there are lots of Immortal counterfeits out there, and some are very close copies of the real thing. You can see examples in the
Counterfeit, anyone? sticky thread. Do NOT try to buy one on eBay, Amazon, or most re-sellers--trust me on this. Your best bet is eventually finding one for sale here on the Forums or from a reputable consignment seller.
