The handle isn't the standard black Micarta, the middle handle pin is conspicuously absent, and there is a hole in the blade between Livesay and what appears to be an obliterated model marking. I exchanged a short email with Newt and from what I can glean from the information provided is this is a LATER model RTAK when he was changing the name to LAK5. Newt did not mention it, but I'm guessing the RTAK name was obliterated on the knife because of this. THIS IS ONLY A GUESS.
As you can see in the pics, it has some sheath wear and looks like it may have been used to cut some foam or something as there is wear on the Parkerizing, but the knife is in great shape. The sheath is ambidextrous and looks nearly new.
