That story makes me think of all the possibilities that could have caused this Dog Skinner to turn out this way. Still smells like liquor and cigars. Funny how this one fits my hand way better than my other symmetrical handled one. I love history.

Mike Thourot is one of my oldest friends. :D . . . He was an Army Ranger in Vietnam :thumbsup:. . . He was my knifemaking mentor. . . He taught me how to make knives and drink scotch. . . . and he taught me how important it is to do both of those at the same time!!! :eek: :cool::thumbsup: . . . We started going to the BLADE Show together in about 1984 . . . He was in my wedding in 1992.:thumbsup: . . . We have enough stories to last several lifetimes. . . and every single time I see him my liver shivers in fear.

After much bribing, begging, and numerous bottles of scotch, he agreed to help out in the Busse Custom Knife Crab Shack. There, he and a band of grumpy old men, wade into battle everyday. . . . well, everyday that they show up! . . . I don't really question what goes on in there too much, 'cause those guys scare me!!!:eek:o_O

Mike and I got snockered a while ago and drew up a knife design together that should be coming to OP2W in the near future.

Here's to Mike!. . . Let's Drink!:cool:
