I just happened to have a very early Bali-Song Cutlery Company WeeHawk that must have been the 'inspiration' for the newly released ChinaCheapie. I thought you might like some photos of all the similarities:rolleyes:....... <IMG SRC="http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=667533&a=13453340&p=51417937"> Here's a link to more pics........ http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=667533&a=13453340 I Mil-Tec'd it up and it swings OK. The pins are monsters at 3/16" and should last. The latch is aluminum or something just as soft...:barf:. It's really not bad for the money.

Wow, I didn't even know there was new line out there (not that I watch the cheapie marker too closely :)) Those are some pretty interesting similarities. Unfortunatly, there are not enough similarities. But if they're as cheap as they've always been, then I'm actually kind of impressed. (kind of ;))

You know what's really sad, I couldn't believe I paid 60 Dollars for that China Cheapie. I mean, when we're talking cheap we're talking cheap, the latch has a piece of rubber/plastic to keep it from falling away from the handle. Ohh well. :)

Two of these, half serrated, just walked in the front door. One latches both open and closed, and the other only latches open (which is fixable). For a quarter a piece, one could do a whole lot worse.
