This is the first knife I made with dovetailed bolsters and I like the way they turned out!
This knife feels great in my hands. There is an ever so slight convex on the lower 3rd of the blade for increased performance. I put a fine V edge on it with a secondary bevel. This thing is screaming sharp!
The black micarta bolsters really make the Osage Orange pop. My marginal pictures don't capture the beauty of this wood! Besides aesthetics, Osage Orange is a dense and very durable wood. It's not uncommon to find fence post made from Osage Orange that are still hard after being in the ground for 50 years or more!
There is a little spot below my makers mark where my etching pad touched and created a mark. Anyone who's handled it hasn't noticed it until I pointed it out. I ground it as much as I dared but there still a minute mark there. Doesn't affect the performance of this knife at all!
I'm including a hand made, custom Hermann Oak leather sheath with this knife. This is a new design for me and to keep the bushcraft theme going, I carved a little compass star on the upper 1/2 of the sheath!
