Those of you who are wanting to get an Osprey, specifically the black blade/black bolster/red maple handle version (a picture here: http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum19/HTML/000446.html , I'd like your input here. The prototype of this knife that I have examined has bead blasted liners. When you look at the outside edges of the handle, you can see the ends of the blasted liners clearly. Don't you think that this particular knife would look much better if Delta Z were to coat the liners so they match the look of the blade and bolsters? I think so

Even if it raises the cost of the knife a little, I won't mind. Sometimes, it's the little details that make a big difference. What do you think? Maybe we can convince Barnaby and Pat to do this. I've already broached this with Darrel and he likes it as long as the price increase isn't too much.

My son is a Marine Corps pilot and a member of the Test and Evaluation team for the V-22, "Osprey" . He is also the maintenace officer for the V-22 squadron at New River Air Station in NC. The new D.R. collaboration might spark some interest among the Osprey community at New River. I know I will want one to send to my son.(burl handles please
