OT: A bit of irony for your Thursday night...

I thought little of the UN before and after reading this article? I would say that it is surely useless as the Teats on a Bore Pig. Time for us to back off and protect our own.:mad:

says each country heads up a committee within the UN, and for a month. Obviously a mere token position, as all UN members get a say on anything being made into policy. I figure it'll be a 28 day circus up there in the UN, a dark and satirical comedy! Move over, Osbournes, here come the Iraqis.

I find humor in the idea of appointing chairs in alphabetical order. How do they choose which alphabet to use?

Obviously they should rotate through all the alphabets.

But that could mean that some countries come up more often.

Well, that could be maybe fixed by weighting the frequency that the different alphabets are used.

But then, particlar alphabets would be favored.

Guess it's time to set up another committee to do an in-depth study of this critical procedural issue.
