(OT) A Well Prepared Kid with Initiative

This isn't about wilderness. And it's not about survival. It's about an interesting 13 year old kid with initiative and a mind of his own. Most of us will appreciate this--as long as he's not YOUR kid. Off topic, but fun.

I know mine would have been sore if I'd have done something like that. And I sure hope this kid got his just punishment, too. That said, as ridiculously bad as his actions were, there's just something interesting and admirable about about a 13 year old kid making a journey like this. What's he going to be doing when he's 18?!

If I had done something like that when I was younger, my father would have just killed me and started over with a new one. That kid has some sand though. You can just see that being used in negotiation later...

"bitch, I was travlin' the country when I was 13. You think I can't handle this?" lol
