looks like the damn in Bastrop state park failed with all the rain we had, this is my back yard about 8 or 9 of my 15 acres are under water right now. looks like a bunch of people are dead and missing across several countys..

invent a newfangled contraption to send some of that water my way - to drought stricken california - and you shall be able to buy all the busse's you want!

luckily the house is on a hill and i have the boat if i need it, im better off than most hoping we have a few days with no more rain though forecast says rain for another week

the road out of my neighborhood..was turned back a few miles down the road because a huge river was over the highway several hundred yards wide

I am on high ground here in Northern San Antonio, but several low water crossings have streets closed around me. I just hope I patched that hole in my roof well enough. Sorry about your land, Flower, that sucks!! I hope you have something left other than a giant ugly trench when it clears. Hey, don't you love Texas? We are having record rainfall that will be followed by a record drought and record heat. I love to hate this place :D

My prayers are with you brother! Hopefully there is no more loss of life, and you are going to be OK!

I'm sitting here in Live Oak, north of San Antonio in awe of what is happening all around us!

Just when the low water crossings clear a little we have another gully washer to cover them up again.

Getting close to as bad as the last 100 year flood a little over ten years ago.

Prayers out to you and some Austin friends of mine... Sounds like Texas and Okla are taking a beating. Stay dry!

We have been getting a lot of rain and storms here, but nothing like that! Stay vigilant and safe.;)

I'm at work about an hour east of Houston and we've been getting it pretty hard for 6 hours straight. Not a single dry square inch on my entire body. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about my family at home right now.

I hope everyone stays safe. If anyone loses anything, hopefully it is something that can be replaced.

I was stuck at work in Houston overnight. I just now got home. I got to work at 10 AM yesterday. This rain is freakin ridiculous.

The Army moved us from San Marcos a couple years ago, I lived right on the river. Can't imagine how bad it is there now saw pics! I'm from TX though and know how it gets. Stay safe
