I'm not discounting opinions, I'm simply remaining open minded.
There may be Visitors; there may not. Anyone remember hysterical blindness/paralysis? It existed, it was real, and popular for it's time. It happened though there was no physical reason for it to exist.
I'm of the view there are many things we don't understand.
