OT - Anybody playing Halo2 these days in cantina?

don't you know that these games promote violence! now go out on back with your khukuris and chop something up. preferrably organic.
 
I will be, when they rebuild my first floor. Xbox is great in the winter; can't fish or boat, days are short. It's not a waste of time... got stuck halfway thru the first Halo, though. How about them Flood?

oh, I wish there was a computer version... or some sort of xbox emulator.

At least we have Half-Life 2 coming up.
 
I liked the first Halo. I suppose that I'll give the sequel a shot when it comes out for PC. If the past is any indicator, this should be sometime in 2006. I'm not holding my breath.

On a similar note, MOH: Pacific Assault is now out but you'll want a high-end system to run it. Half-Life 2 should be here soon.

All of this, of course, is just a means of passing the time until Operation Flashpoint 2 is released. (If it ever is.)
 
Holy crap, beat Halo 2 campaign today. Awesome! I smell a sequal.... I was really pissed, however, that both the flood and guilty spark were here. I really hate them! :(
 
My brother wants to buy halo but he needs my help to afford it. I would rather buy half-life 2. Too bad I would have to use mid-low settings :(.

Give it a few months. Once the new breed of cards see some real circulation the prices will drop like a rock on the last generation -- which, of course, are pretty darned good cards in their own right. Staying a step behind the state of the art in computers provides a lot of bang for the buck. I've got a buddy at work who's married (i.e. no money) that does this. We play the same games. I spent a lot more money on my system than he did on his. Honestly, it's hard to tell the difference. One would have to play the game quite a bit to notice the difference between our systems, even though his is "only good" and mine is "extremely good." We didn't really see an honest difference until Far Cry, and with a game with eye candy like that...well...one might see a difference. He still saved a lot more money than I did. Were I only that patient. :(

Pacific Assault looks downright beautiful on this 6800, though... :D

Anyone playing on legendary now? I beat on normal in 2 days. Since then stuck on 1st level playing legendary. If it goees at that rate I might finish it sometimes next year...
 
UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004 ROCKS!

I have played Halo 1 and really liked it. Used to be a Tribes player. That was really fun also. and All the Half-Life games. Don't have an x-box, need PC versions.
 
I think once I found out about khuks, I've been buying (and playing) fewer video games. The way I see it now, 2 video games = 1 UBBB.
 
I am one of the digitally challenged. I have never won or even been able to finish a video game.
I couldn't even get laid playing Leisure Suit Larry.
