OT, but may God be with the crew of the Columbia

Very,Vary sad indeed!

And really what else would expect from Iraq??

So what do you think about that heat shield coming off and hitting the wing had something to do with it? Did the craft just get so hot that this happened???

ken k, welcome to Bladeforums. I hope you stick around to be with us in happier times, also.

I'm sure the Iraqis know they are going to get theirs. We sometimes hear that its Saddam Hussein who is the enemy and the innocent Iraqi people have to be saved from their ruler. I wonder.

The space shuttle has been called the most complex machine ever built. Certainly they have been flying for a long time now, considering the stress they take. We will have to learn what happened and why but guesses are beside the point today.

My thoughts and Prayers to the famlies and relatives.
They all made it to Heaven and never had to touch the Earth to do so.

This is a sad, sad day. The world has lost seven of the bravest people to ever have walked on it.
May GOD bless them and keep their families and loved ones under His loving care.

All the best,
Mike U.

FWIW,
As for those who are saying "it's the wrath of God". I think they'll be getting some first hand knowledge of what that's like soon enough.
We should pray for them too, because Hell is coming to rain down on them.

I just got back from Nachadoces(SP) and the surrounding area. It was a media circus and the mood seemed somber among the crowd. There were countless spots where pieces had been found. Tomorrow I'll try and post some pics somewhere and link to them.

Brent...
:p

My prayers are with the families, May God be with them in their hour of need. :(

Iraq is already celebrating, calling it "the wrath of god"

Let them celebrate all they want.....their time is coming....to an end.
