Look here Bill,
Want the hook on coffee? Find the Air Force guys, any Air Force guys, they've got the good old boy connection with the air cargo folks, and they horde the "lifer juice" like it's gold. Depending on your "horse trading" savvy, and what odds and ends you happen to pick up along your convoy routes, you could be in like Flyn. Anybody thinks I'm joking would be wrong. In today's joint operational environment, everybody has something somebody else wants. No, I don't for a minute mean black marketeering, I'm talking good old trade and barter like GIs have been doing as long as there's been GIs.
All that aside, you need to understand the generosity of the folks on this forum, and pass it along to your brothers and sisters in arms when you can. Yesterday I gave one of my favorite khukuris to a young friend of mine who's going into the Army. He was overwhelmed, so I sat him down and recounted how I've "issued" out absolute scores of khuks to guys, and girls, going into harms way, all of them donated by the patriots on this forum. Not, to signify their support for or against what's going on, war is an ugly business no sane person relishes, but instead to demonstrate their pride, concern, and support of the husbands, wives, sons, and daughters, who did not start this business, buy by God will finish it. For me to give that khuk to that youngster was not my loss, it was my honor. That's the sort of influence these "khukuri nuts" will have on you. "Good guys" pretty much says it all about 'em.
