There's a pic of what seems to be a magnetic nose piercing. Just don't go sniffing jars of iron filings. :rolleyes:

One cheap source for rare earth magnets is old hard drives. Not as large as the ones in the link but good for a couple of pounds.
 
Neodymium magnets really are cool. We use them where I work to separate different grades of titanuim minerals (nonmagnetic rutile from iron-bearing ilmenite). These separators use rare-earth magnetic rolls which are 6" in diameter and 60" long. You don't want to get your credit cards too close to these machines or they will get wiped!

Bruise, if we ever junk any of these machines I'll let you know so that you salvage some larger magnets.
