OT: faster web-browser coming soon.. from the Green Isle

That would really be something if he can get it on the market. He will have to be very careful. There will be companies that would buy it just to make sure it got ditched. Too much competition. It can't come too soon for me. :)
 
I read about this case in a compputer magazine. That kid, Adnan Osmani has not written all the programming himself. He has copied other people's work and added some things. He received condemnation from the inner circles of computer kids because they live by some kind of code of ethic that forbids this.

If he can't buy it he's steel it or make its marketing impossible. Anyone ever hear of Geoworks? It was windows before windows came out and worked of computers with 64k of memory. This program did mutitasking in the early 80's on commador 64's. Just one of a hundred ideas stilen and buried before it had a chance to take off on a IBM based structor.

I actually still have a working computer with Geoworks installed on it. It's an old everex 286 12mhz with 8mb ram and a 40meg HD. Still runs, but kinda useless except as a novelty.

Its funny my commador 64 still works. Guess these damn computers get outdated faster than they break down:)Maybe thats another plot from Bill gates:)
 
I used Geoworks back in the eighties, too. That was an excellent program. As I recall, I updated to a new version of DOS or an early version of Windows (which sucked) and the only program that could not continue to be on my computer was Geoworks. A real shame that it got buried. Nice interface.

Yep, I saw it. I knew there was a reason I didn't like Bill Gates (for more than the obvious)... BUT, I NEVER suspected that Steve Jobs was suck a Pr@$K too.
 
My Great Grandfather told me that I would hear about and run into many completely miserable people in my life. But, I didn't think he meant quite this many.If it were not for guys like Uncle Bill and Ragnar there just wouldn't be what I consider honest business men around.

Seems like the news almost every night has another crook from the white collar folks. Between greed and power trips our businesses are in deep trouble. Like the price gougeing that is going on right now woth the prices at the gas pumps and, Ma Bell still trying to completely control the phone industry.
