OT: Favorite CCW Pistol: Glock 33

The Kahr K9 has my CCW vote. I have both, the 9mm and 40 cal. They both have the best trigger pull & feel out of all the DAO I have shot IMO. Accuracy is outstanding. I have never had a misfire, missfeed, or stovepipe. I have used bulk pack Winchester to Black Hills ammo. The only think I wish they would have done is put stainless screws in the grips and rounded of the edge of the trigger. 40 cal gets a "little stingy" if you plan on alot of rounds at the range. I use a DeSantis Yaqui Slide Leather holster. Also, I got rid of my PM's after firing the K Series...the K and PM's can not be compared.
Also, Ken, while your picking your Kahrs up, order Kahr's compensated barrel for the K9....you won't be disappointed.

I am in law enforcement and have had a glock for over16 yrs., never had any problems. I've been around this forum for about a year, I own a couple hogs and I have seen your work. It's great....I carry a G-27 or Kimber Ultra carry II.

Sweet pics Lunde! The G33 is very nice ... here's some pics of my subcompacts. The G30 and G26, along with the nuclear badger!! :D:thumbup:

OK, OK, those of y'all who already know me know I have to take exception to that remark....:D

This is my EDC (and I do mean every day). I was suspicious of the 9mm until I bought this pistol and was introduced to Cor-Bon ammunition. While I love my .45, this is both controllable and very concealable. It lives in my nursey bag of evil in case the javelinas attack in the parking lot at night...;) (No offense, kdstrick! Some of us do understand!)

I really like the caliber and one of the great things about Glock is that you can purchase conversion barrels to shoot 9, 40, .357 from the same gun.
Really. While I understand the .40/.357 SIG conversion, I would have thought the breech face was incompatible with 9 mm. Is the extraction reliable?

It works great. Of course, you must use 9mm mags. I have heard of some guys switching extractors, but that is just silly.

I have not experienced any failures of any kind with the Storm Lake 9mm conversion bbl, and the point of aim is the same as the .40 & .357. A couple of guys on Glocktalk had some failures to extract with the Lone Wolf conversion bbl... so I went with the Storm Lake who apparently makes some of SIG's bbls. It gives you a lot of versatility for around $100 bucks.

Interesting. Having mismatched breech faces is a big no-no with a 1911 pattern.

I am an LEO and LEO DT and Firearms academy instructor in my state. I carry a G23 on duty and a G27 off duty all the time R hip concealed carry. I also EDC a Busse AD on my Left side and Mcusta Damascas folder right pocket and I think thats about it!

Wow I'm glad you posted this. I had only recently learned you could switch to 9mm from a .40/.357, and I am in the process of gearing up to do so. I would have gone with Lone Wolf just because I have dealt with them in the past. Hopefully you have saved me from some frustration.

I had a G27 and really didn't care for it. Handle ergos are crap and trigger was too. Traded it in towards a Sniper rifle. . . Which I now carry IWB.

Ok, maybe not. I carry a Taurus PT1911 and/or a S&W 642

For carry, I like my trusty Glock 19. However, I'm in the process of becoming a .45 convert, and I'm currently coveting my Dad's Colt Defender and midsize Springfield XD .45. My new Sig 220 will probably be carried only around the farm. On the belt, it feels like a boat anchor.

Honestly, if I were to feel the need to carry every day, I'd probably end up carrying one of the little Kel-Tec .380s in the summer, and a S&W J frame of some sort in the winter. I live in a pretty safe area.

I really like the function of Glocks, but the ergos just don't work for me. I've owned several Glocks, but the G36 was the only one I couldn't get to run thru an entire magazine w/out jamming or malfunctioning in one way or another. Even after having a couple gunsmiths check it out and "Glock experts". So I traded it in to one of these experts on another 1911.... my preferred handguns.

Here's a couple I prefer for IWB Concealed carry. Glad I live in a state that hasn't taken away my rights to protect myself... (jab at the Republic of California...) all in fun of course...

Here's my carry pieces.

Hahahaha... women can't be expected to understand...

Apparantly not all wives were created equal.

My wife's collection so far.

Springfield XD Sub-caompact Knive clock wise from top right. Kershaw Leak, Swamp Rat Swamp Warden and Benchmade Griptialin 556. Missing is a CRKT M16.

My favorite daily carry switches between my colt combat commander, or my colt mustang .380. I also have a glock 26, and a 23 which are great guns, but there is just something about a 1911 !!!! Anyone have any experence with a kimber pro cdp2 ?

Ken heres a well worn 33 with its big brothers 32 and 31 .This is a great round one of my favorites .
