I just came across an Airwolf website and it brought back some memories! I loved that show! Remember how the helicopter could do anything and always kicked the badguys butt!!:D The A-team was another good one from the 80's! They just don't make shows like that anymore...true classics!!!:) :(

What were your fav's from back when?!

Nobody, nowhere, nor at any time has even approached Ernie Kovacs. Buddy Hackett is another one I miss.

Geeze, I was gonna show my age and nominate Vic Morrow in "Combat". Tough crowd.

pretty big when he was around...
[Edit- this post made some sense when the attached picture of Ernie Kovacs on the cover of Life magazine was included as intended, but since the effin' "Gold" software didn't attach it and won't let me delete what it did post, I wind up looking like more of a doofus than usual.]

I loved the A-team and used to watch it all the time. It did puzzle me, however, that they would crank out 1,000 round from their Stainless Steel select fire Mini-14's and never hit a soul (probably a lot of practice on the back lot to miss that well!;) )

Ahh, Airwolf. Loved it too. Stringfellow Hawk had the ugliest co-pilot imaginable. The man whose likeness has been carved on pumpkins everywhere, Ernest Borgnine.

:barf:

It was a cool show. I wondered where he got his repalcement missle supply. He musta' blown up half the desert in each episode!

I'm sorry. I know that too much scrutinizing ruins the fun, but ideosyncracies and inconsistencies in film and TV is fun to look for. For example, in a scene from the Film, Gunfight at the OK Corral, ( Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas) You see our heros pouring whiskey into glasses. If you look closely, you can see some white stuff swirling in the whiskey bottle when it is moved to pour. That would be sugar to sweeten the tea in the bottle!

Really bad logistics can be fun too. The "Continuity" people occasionally fall down on the job, and it can be amusing if you are paying attention. In the movie the Jagged edge, a female lawyer wears 3 outfits in the course of a single day in court. HEE-Hee!

Sorry, got way off track, but I'll punish myself by rubbing Tru-Oil on some Khukuri Handles.

:D

Yeah I love to catch their mistakes too! I once saw the Lou Diamond Phillips movie "the Dark Wind"(I think it was called) and in one sean the actors were all around a camp fire and you could see the microphone on a long stick dangling right above their heads! It keept bobbing in amd out of thr picture!:D I wonder how they miss these things when they edit the film!

What kind of chopper was Airwolf anyway? Was it a real military chopper modified for the TV show?

Just like the A-Team, even in todays movies the actors rarely run out of bullets and have to reload! :D I guess that is kind of the magic of it! :D

Let's see... in chronological order:
1) Johnny Quest (great writing)
2) The Avengers (great writing - especially the earlier shows)
3) The Rat Patrol (the four-wheeling action what else?!)
4) MASH (great comedy)
5) Baywatch (good scenery)

Bill,
This will make me older than you & Wal! "Have Gun Will Travel", loved the gun & all the ladies he met!

(AKA John Wayne) appeared with Hoot Gibson in several of the Three Mesquiteers movies, but AFAIK, Ken Maynard didn't appear in that series.

Sure he did, last member was Bob Steele! Ask Uncle! John Wayne was after!hee! I actually got one up on a lawyer! Amazing! hee!
