OT/Folder, Not "a" Busse.

I have several American Kami fixed blades and love them, but I think his folders are over priced.

Thanks sut!
I think many folders are over priced.
I hope the Busse Folder is reasonably priced. :)
:eek::D

Am I the only one who thinks it's a little questionable to post a 'competitors' product in a manufacturer sponsored forum?

Also 400 for that thing? :barf: sorry cosa..

What competitor? Jerry doesn't sell a folder, and doesn't even want pictures of the prototype folder he released posted. Folders aren't much competition to the Busse fixed blades.

See, thats just one of the reasons we LOVE this place soooo much is because we(as a family) can talk about other thingsthat we are interested in, not just Busse.

So ya, your prolly on your own there blakem.:)

And as for the knife, well its chisel ground.:thumbdn:

Reasonable swap is an appropriate term. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a set aside amount of money for guns/knives/fun crap. Busse, American Kami, glock, ect are all competing for that money. American Kami, and busse being more direc competitors.

Also, there is a folder forum iirc...

Semi-flame on...:D

Fair enough...much respect for the folks in the busse camp.

I find the stuff looks pretty mall ninja to me. However that one sword looks pretty sweet, minus the chisel grind of course :p

also, $400 for 1095 and a chisel grind? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

:D

I like many of his designs, I keep coming back to his site to look at them. But the chisel ground blades indeed are absolute showstoppers for me, I totally and completely loathe them. So unless he repents (:D), I will never buy a blade of his.
As for the price, 1095 is nothing special but lots of very good knives are made of it. The design, construction and F&F may well warrant the price, I really can't tell but I wouldn't rule it out.

Philwar--- Ask DJ to make you a V grind knife. :) Pohan Leu now offers the V grind. As far as the chisel grind, I love the tradition and the simplicity of the design. I carry a chisel grind knife for personal protection.

I think you should save your money and invest in
photography classes and a real camera. :D

Bag & Tagged you on that one Lycosa!:p Freaking ass funny too! 18,000 + post count and no camera....you do know it's 2010 right?:D

I LOL'd at that too.

Yeah...I've never understood why you would want to spend large amounts of money on an un-finished knife....just my opinion. If you're into friction folders there's a hand full of guys who are building them over on USN. One up and coming is Jared Price (jrpcustomknives), he does great work and is reasonably priced. And as far as I know all his knives are finished on both sides.....:p

Thanks Sol-man!
I just like the history of the chisel ground knife. I have a awesome FF from Filip De Leeuw but it's a V grind. Got to have a CG Fricky. ;)
I'm workin on the camera thang.
