OT... Guys Bob Hankins AKA Blinker needs all our prayers

Bruce Evans said:
Wish he would let me know something, would like to send some flowers or something, just not sure if I should send them to his house as he isnt contacting no one about anything, and I am respecting his wishes to be not called at this time.My heart goes out to him in this time of need and all our familys prayers will be out to him and his wife.they only had the one child so this has really got to be devastating to them.Hope he contacts some one soon so we know he is doing OK...

Thank you all for your kindness and support, been a rough few days.
We decided that since Scott's first love was music it would be nice to do something for the school he started playing in.
We are in contact with Scotts Middle School Music director and believe we have decided to help them buy a New Saxaphone for the band.
That is what Scott played while attending there.
It will be engraved "In Memory of Scott Hankins" the top student will be allowed to play it at the school concerts.

Mr Wilson is his name and phone number is 480-783-2400
Contact him directly if you care to contribute. I believe the donations are tax deductable up to $400.
Funeral costs are pretty much taken care of not as big a concern right now.
My wife did ask if we could get out of here for a while so I am trying to gather funds for that.
Thank you for honoring our request of no contact it just makes it harder right now.
Will get back later today with some more info.

It helps to share and maybe let you know who my son was, this will appear in our local paper tomorrow, Arizona Republic. He was 18yrs old

In loving memory of Scott William Hankins, born July 30th 1987. Scott left us on April 27th 2006. Scott loved to laugh and enjoyed watching great comedy and spending time with friends. Scott’s favorite channel was “The Comedy Channel” and whenever we walked in we were often greeted by his laugh which resounded through our home. Scott was a social butterfly and made friends easily. He was very accepting of others and was careful not to judge. Scott fell in love with music at an early age when he learned to play the saxophone at Pueblo Middle School. He progressed with his musical talent and began playing the electric guitar as well as the bass guitar. Many of Scott’s most joyous moments came when playing music with his friends. Scott also enjoyed playing golf and possessed a natural golf swing that many would love to mimic. There will be a celebration of Scott’s life and loving spirit at 10:00 am Saturday, May 6th at Arizona Community Church, located at 9325 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, Arizona. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.

i still cannot tell you how sorry i am for your loss, you and your family will be in my thoughts :)

Service was very well done with a large attendance. Many of Scotts old teachers and former classmates were there along with family and friends.

Thanks for your kind words and support. We are 2/3 of the way to getting the Sax to donate to his school. The Scott Hankins Memorial fund at Wells Fargo Bank will remain active untill we meet our goal.

My thoughts and wishes with you and yours Bob. I remember you well from way back before I made my first blade. God's speed Bob Hankins.
