Sometimes the forums all seem slower and I realize that can be due to the amount of traffic, but they seem a tad worse than before when Spark upgraded the whatever to 2.2 I think it was.

Another thing I have noticed is that when I hit my back button the little odd shaped rainbow colored Rubic's Cube in the upper right corner doesn't move as it normally does when loading or unloading a post, it just sits there and all of a sudden you're back. Anyone else seeing odd behavior?

It happens to all the forums I frequent. Odd........Maybe it's just me. Did Anyone SEE That?!!??!?!?!??!??;) :p   :D

Nope, not I. Everything seems the same. Some of the threads seem to take longer to load but I suspect it's those fancy images people are using nowadays.

:o

I think that new fangled computer you got is getting ready to explode. If you see it start to smoke hit the deck.

I have the feeling that sometimes it takes a very long time to get out of a post again, as if the forum does not react to the buttons. But maybe the problem is my high-speed connection

I find it faster to just go back to the HI thread via the go button than to hit the back button.

But I use Linux, not M$ stuff, so most of my issues are different than most other peoples'. My wife just calls me strange, and she's probably right!

I love this #$% computer, and this computer loves @#$% me (insert the adjective/verb of your choice).:p :) ;)

Some pages will only partially load - but say the loading is done.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page and the usual next page stuff isnt there, hit reload, and it will usually load again, this time fully.

I've been having problems on my home computer. All of the pages load and then blank and reload ad infinitum. I have to try to hit the stop button to manually stop the browser when there is some text on the page. This makes it just about impossible to use the forums at home.

I posted a question about this on the support forum.

Yvsa,

I've been having the exact same problem with my Mac ever since Spark upgraded. I've been blaming it on Netscape, but I don't know if it is the problem or not  .

For the record, Internet Explorer does it too... so I don't know. I've been using Swede's technique... just hitting the HI link at the top of the page. It seems to work faster/more reliable than my back button.

Alan

When it gets bad enough just chop the damned thing to pieces with your khukuris and head for the nearest cave. I'm just about there.

Alan, Yvsa and others,

Have you guys tried updating your browsers? Seems like everytime I've had internet trouble, I needed to update something---browsers,drivers etc...

Just a thought:)

I'm having the same problem as Howard. The page refreshes itself in a constant loop. I emailed Spark about it a couple of days ago and he said he would report it to his tech guys but it's still happening.
My last name is also Wallace, maybe thats the problem.

OmniWeb 4.1 works pretty good along with Opera 5.0 and Netscape 6.2. However MS Exploder craps out...

Thanks Rob....
Actually I did download the latest and greatest IE 6.0 first thing this morning while I was shaveing and showering.
Took me a little over an hour to both download and take care of the personal necessities.:)
A friend of mine told me not to download the new IE until they came out with the 6.1 as the 1st version always has bugs in it.
But I saw where Cougar Allen had been using it for about 6 weeks with no trouble.
The little rubic's cube still stands still instead of rotating when doing a task, but it does it a lot quicker now.
There's definitely some bennies to the new IE 6.0 over the IE 5.5 I did have. :)

I´m using WindowsXP pro and IE 6 and DSL and I´m absolutely happy with that configuration. The problem with loading and in my case loading of a new page when opening or leaving a threat seems to be only at this forum. I´m confused

Sven,

I think I have a similar problem. When I post a reply and then want to get back to the main page I have to go to my favorites list and click on bladeforums to get back to HI forum. It only takes a second to do it so I don't mind. Is that what is happening to you?

Yvsa,

I'm glad that that helped, if only a little:) Can't expect a computer to work at 100% anyway;) :D

...all of this with great interest, since none of it applies to WebTV (now MSNTV:confused: )...The only thing different I have noticed is he need to hit "reload" once in a while when the time shown on posts is old - last post three hours old or so - and then I get caught up to some extent. When the Cantina is jumpin', new posts come up while I'm trying to keep pace with 4-5 topics, but when things slow down, it appears that new posts are put up in 15-30 min. cycles, as they are on some of the old WebTV groups. Hydramatic software, that downshifts automatically to match the grade?
