OT: Help/Suggestions appreciated.

I hope you will understand that what I am about to say comes from the loving Christian heart of me and I say it for the good of you and your little brother.

You are just a kid and your little brother is a baby. You have no idea what kind of potential evil you are playing with. You are not men yet and you are not capable of "handling" the kind of situation that these drugs WILL present.

Dead is dead. Jail is jail. Nobody will be able to save you after the fact.

You need to clean up and never even think about that stuff until you have become the CEO of a major corporation and your grandson graduates from Duke.
Your little brother is not an adult. He needs his ass whipped hard and a scare ride from the cops.

Man, every dream you or your brother ever has will be ruined by this.
(Unless your dream is scaling fish and living in a hole)

Smash that bong and beat the **** out of him any time you smell pot on his clothes.

15 years old and already has his own bong. Dear God.

If you ever want a government job, particularly one where there is any significant responsibility, such as CIA agent, or FBI, they do do background checks that can be rather in depth (including such things as interviewing your childhood neighbors, classmates, etc... and this was pre-911). Not to mention, the whole if you ever want to run for public office bit. Its not something you really think of as a young man, but then who knows where you will be in 20 years. I know Ive regretted a number of things Ive fessed up to on "Public Forums". Nothing illegal, but rather embarassing. Anyways, you never know who is watching. For every person posting, there are a good number just reading. There's that whole bit about its a small world, and what not. It shouldnt be a big deal, but then again, many things shouldnt and are.

As for whether you can use drugs, and not end up dead or on crack ho row (gotta love the superfly), sure we can all cite examples of people who have. For every sorry case, there are those who are lucky. A number of Dr.'s at the Mayo Clinic take the occaisional toke, Ive known plenty of judges, and other "pillars" of the community who have engaged in questionably legal behavior, then there is the famous president who didnt inhale. To a certain extent its all part of growing up, and figuring who you really are, there is never any black or white. Morals are relative and temporal. However risky behavior really is not something that I would recommend, particularly to impressionable youth, who are still having difficulties distinguishing the wheat from the chaffe. Ive known far too many kids who were "in control", and many more than just one who have ended up in ditches around this country. Life is hard as it is, why make it harder by playing with fire. Then again this applies to any vice or desire. From alcohol, to gambling, to women, to even khuks. But then there are certain addictions, that there is no cure HIKV being one of them. ;) :D :p

Anyways, as always those are just my .003 cents

That explains a lot...

I always wondered how those companies like Enron, Adelphia, Worldcom, etal. could cheat from now till Armageddon and still wind up bankrupt.

"Hey, dood, who's the accountant again?"

(Sorry, had to inject a bit of levity after my last post, in general I agree, we put off kids actually growing up and at the same time they are presented with more and more choices that they are too young to make.)
