the jim beams is like a super peppery tangy sauce... definitely good for being 2.25$ at ross. i used to think it was super hot, until i was bathed in sweat from blairs :). the chipotle slam is and jalepeno taquila are both very tangy, slightly vinegary sauces, the jalepeno being super chunky, like it was made of only puree'd jalepenos. both are mild by my standards, but add sooooooooo much flavor its unbeleivable.

the possible side effects and megadeath being my heat juggernauts of the bunch... the possible side effects is edible, yet still tastes good... for sheer taste though i go elsewhere.

and then theirs trader joes jalepeno hot sauce :D. sure, its not really all that hot - but when you have a bowl of steaming super chunky soup/chile and your just pouring that stuff on every spoonfull - it'll get your heart racing, your body sweating, and your mind realing :D:D:D. what i consider to be a near perfect soup/chile compliment.

and then the dry rubs - bbq is a funky sweet bbq flavor... im not all to big of a fan of it... it really makes stuff taste like bbq flavor, where as i tend to want it to have more suble variations in flavor... the cajun doesnt have any heat as far as im concerned, but its an excellent all around spice mix (cayenne chili, garlic, onion, paprika, salt, celery seed, rosemary, oregano, tumeric, sage). and the death rain nitro... wich tastes pretty much like powdered habeneros. wich is basically what it is (corn syrup, natural pepper flavor (contains soybean oil), habenero powder, ancho powder, spices.)

GOOOOOD STUFF. if anyone has any suggestions on hot chili oil - id love to hear them. the stuff im using is some japanese brand from housefoods corp., and its base oil is rapeseed, wich is fine, but id rather have some other base oil for it if at all possible. and its no where near hot enough :D

Seth, I make my own hot chili oil. The base is toasted sesame oil. I find any other base to be WAY too bland. The heat comes from dried Thai peppers, which are left in as long as you want.

I'll post the entire recipe tonight.

Seth, looks like there's enough 'heat' there to melt all the snow
& ice on my driveway...:D

I tried this on my lunch today (pepperoni bread), only the Red Chili Salsa, while fixing the furnace...

Had enough 'heat' to make me think the furnace was still runnin' :D :D

Although I can't remember it at the moment, there is a psychiatric term for people who enjoy causing pain to themselves. It'll come to me...might have something to do with hot sauce users.

I'm sure the word is NOT "normal."

You may be thinking of Lupold von Sacher-Masoch (sp?) who wrote the widely suppressed book Venus in Furs.

If so, the word is masochism/ masochist.

In reversal of the Comte D.A.F. de Sade, ( Sadism/Sadist ) who delighted in writing novels on causing others pain, masochists delight in receiving pain.

It's probably physically and psychologically related to the effects from triggering the body's endorphins, thus ultimately a form of addiction.
