At least you injured yourself with a baked good. i had to go get 4 stitches in my cheek last week because i cut myself with a mop. the sad thing is that i'm not joking.

Ummm Jake, you do know that mops are for cleaning floors not eating don't you?:D:p

Seriously though, Ouch! In the 2 years that I was a custodian, I cut my self with a mop a number of times mostly my hands and forarms. Never heared of anyone cutting their cheek on one. How'd it happed?

I figured if anyone could feel my pain, it'd be you, Heb. I was actually modifying an old mop into a trash poker. A lot of trash blows into the yard of our office, so I thought it would be simple enough to hack the 2 stabilizing rods off of the mophead and then file down the center one to a point. BOOM, you have a trash-sticker-picker-upper. I used a hacksaw and the first one came off no prob. The second was going fine until the saw went through quicker than i thought it would, and the force bounced the piece of galv. steel up and it caught me in the cheek. Really just a puncture, but since it was on my cheek it kinda spread open and needed a couple stitches. I felt pretty darn dumb about it. Oh well, i'll just tell my kids one day that I got the scar while doing a stint in the pokey, and that i got into a shiv fight over some cornbread. That sounds like a cooler story than poking yourself with a mop, right?;)
Hows the arm/hand doing, Heb?
Oh, and the trash sticker does work, but it looks more like a whaling harpoon than a yard tool:)
