I'm heading to the Trackrock Hammer-In, held in Blairsville, Georgia - tomorrow morning bright and early.

Arrival time will be somewhere between 8-10pm.

Gonna be hammering all day Friday & Saturday.

Then, Sunday will be the long drive home....:(

Hope to get a few curvy blades forged ;)....make some friends....and learn a thing or two. Father-in-Law is coming with me.

If the YCS comes in while I'm out........oops.....sorry!

Y'all will have to do it without me, or wait until Monday. :p

Should be a great event.....these kinds of meetings usually are. Getting the chance to bump elbows with fellow knifemakers - old and new...getting to hang with Kit Carson and even Gus (Bastid - SuperMod).......I'm even starting to feel jealous of myself...

!! !! :D :p :footinmou

Wish me luck and safety on the road!

Blairsville? that's a serious Cherokee historical hotspot!
I've been all over that place. Tons of pre-european history..

have fun, watch out for flying lights.

made it back safe-n-sound.

Was the only one able to cut the 3 inch poly rope in the cutting contest...;)

more later....

Glad to hear you made it. Do tell more soon!

As for the rope, I'm sure it had it coming! :)

didn't have time to make a new one, so I used ole Moby again.

the funny part was that the first time I went through the rope...no cameras were around...as soon as the cameras showed up....couldn't get through it........that was the nastiest rope I've ever tried to cut.....

That's so you can tear large bandage strips off and still have some shirt left to get you through the next cutting contest. :p
