OT: Lights & Multitools

"Bulk" being 1200 batteries!

Or, you could buy 50 Streamlight CR123's (which many believe are made in the exact same factory as those Duracells) from lighthound.com, and pay only $1.30 apiece... :foot:

Hmmmm... Guess I ordered my last 50 right before the hike... STILL, $1.70 per, for 50 or more (10 year shelf life) is still pretty darn good compared to buying a few from the store... $6-$8 per 2 @ retail, I think?

Check Here

I'll also look into lighthound.com before placing an order next time, thanks for the tip!!

$1.70 for 50 or more Duracell CR123's is a very good price! Those batteries kick major butt. Tests done by Silverfox (over on CPF) has shown them to be some of the very best lithiums available. One quick glance at those runtime charts of his, and you can see why SureFire used to supply those batteries with its lights. ;)

.

Here is the runtime graph on that new SF E2L Outdoorsman that I mentioned a few posts ago. This head (the KX2) is now available on SureFire's website.. ;)

Have a few MagLights and Pelicans in differant sizes, a few Coast LED's that a guy sells at the local gun show's. Ordered a Surefire L1 Cree yesterday.
Think I'll try a Fenix P2D next.

I have an old Leatherman and Gerber mutitool, both are still rock solid after 15 to 20 years. My friend bought a new Gerber and it is awfull, blades are so loose it rattles.

I had a gerber for about 12 years. I finally killed it because the lock mechanism actually wore out. That's the reason I now have a leatherman and not back to a Gerber.
