Thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately it's been cloudy and rainy here for the last week and a half so we won't be able to see it. Those that can, Enjoy!

I can see it here. Very red and strange. Wish I had a camera to take a nice photo of my Siru with the red moon in the background.

Yeah... Scope on top of towel on top of cooler on top of heavy plastic container. It's a pain trying to find the correct eye relief. I have a good surveying level that would give a good picture, but I don't have a tripod and it's too heavy to aim without one. Plus it is fixed 20 or 25x, and still has crosswires.

Rats, cloudy here again. May not get any more. I was having trouble getting any of the red shadow area to show up, it looks really cool but gets washed out by the bright part in the pictures. But I AM learning alot about settings on my camera.

You're never going to hit it if you keep wiggling around like that!

That's it for me now. Clouds gone but the moon is too high for my scope to be stable. Oh well, good show. Hope you guys are getting a look.

I noticed last night after the moon came back out that it was exceptionally bright...to the extent that it was casting very distinct shadows. To those knowing such things...was it and why? I could have read by it...
