I reckon about 5-7 inches in the last 24 hours. (my rain gauge over flowed during the night). About 10-11 inches pretty steady in the last 3-4 days!

YIKES!

Thanks. Im on furlough today so Im not in it. But I am trying to keep my yard and driveways from washing out by cutting little diversions where I can.

My wife is a teacher and sevearl schools in her area are closing early today. I worry about her in her little eco friendly light car!

Should be in the truck today I suppose LOL.

yeah...we've needed rain for a while. we get some here and there but not nearly enough.

grass is always greener on the other side...in this case your grass really will be greener :D

It's supposed to continue to rain until next Monday here in East TN. It's already been going for 3-4 days solid.

I was supposed to setup and air out the tent, but it looks like I may set up camp in the living room. Guess it would be called the den after that?

Same here in south WV been raining on and off for three days more on than off.

Rain?????? I wish!!!!!!!!!

The bad part for me is I live at the bottom of the hill of our subdivision so everyone's runoff comes into my yard. The first dry day everyone but me will be able to mow their grass while I have to wait an extra 2-3 days. Of course by then it will probably start raining again!

We had 11-12 inches yesterday in my area. It has been raining steadily since Thursday.

I got out of the house this morning at 6:00 AM. I got to work at 9:40AM. There were several bridges washed out, and I saw a guy get swept downstream after he tried to cross a flooded bridge over sweet water creek. I don't know what happened to him.

I'll be leaving in a little bit to drive back home. I'm going the long way around and taking the main roads, which are still open, mostly.

i know whatcha mean.i havent been able to cut my grass in a week.yard looks like a rain forest.guess i know where my next adventure will take place....

It is the suck here in the ATL. It's been raining steadily since last Wednesday- we got 12" plus yesterday- and it's still going strong.

I just went outside for a smoke- and damn. I don't have a window in my office- but it's pretty rough outside. There's a waterfall in the spot where we usually stand and smoke- the parking lot is turning into a lake. My wife says the water is building up in front of our condo- I wonder if I should go get some sandbags or something.

The forecast says the rain isn't supposed to let up until NEXT Monday. Yipes. Good thing I'm a strong swimmer!

Dang, we can't catch more than a teaser in my neck of the woods. Every time rain heads our way, it dissipates or changes direction before it reaches us. It's drier than dry - dead grass, leaves falling already. :/

For those who are getting hammered, PLEASE... don't drive through floodwaters! It ain't worth the risk.

"Both fatalities involved people trying to drive through floodwater."

Well folks, nature has its ways... Last year and for about 2-3 years prior we have been where many of you are. Not a drop. So it all comes around.

I don't know what the rainfall total is here, but it has been raining for 7 days straight. Mostly drizzle and fog, but it's getting old.

Jeez I wish we could get some of that rain here in AZ, we had something like .5" this monsoon season. Sure wish we could take some of that!
