OT: mental survival at stake...

Very true, we are all here to listen and help. Besides, the sooner you are all better and well, the sooner we'll have some interesting stories to hear from ya with your 'new' leg. Just keep a cool head about things and read a good book or two, and try to include "hatchet," that should get you all reved up for the spring. Best of luck, J.

I sure hope things get smoother for you, Mike! Knee problems are crappy to deal with. I've had a bum one for several years, but it is getting aggravated less often these days.

At least we'll get to see more of you around the forums for a while? :D

Plus, since you and I are a wee bit towards the end of Koster's list, we likely won't have to worry about getting to try out new blades until springtime! Saving the best for last.

MCL and ACL reconstruction back in 94. Had a top notch sports ortho look at it and he cut me open 3 weeks later. 6 months of nasty rehab I took VERY seriously and the knee has been bomb proof ever since.

Lessons learned: GP's or any MD who is not an expert in this area is a quack, seek expertise.

Knees dont get better (99%) once wrecked without surgery and proper rehab.

Tackle rehab like your life depends on it. Push through the pain and gitter done, its a few months out of your life and you will thank youself for it. Grow a high threshold for pain and rehab the crap out of it.

Dont know your particulars bro but if surgery is reccommended do it with gusto as a life of limping arthritis and pain is not cool and makes the surgery recovery efforts look trivial not long after you are good to go.
.
Good luck
