The First Sergeant of my Guard unit had one of the "Murphy's Laws of Combat" posters on the wall of his office. (He was a good Top- former Marine, Sheriff's Deputy as a civilian, but a pretty easy-going guy. Took care of his people.) Many of the preceeding gems were on it that poster. Most of my favorites have been mentioned , but I also always liked: "Remember, your equipment was made by the lowest bidder."
