Said goodbye to some buddies last night, they flew out this morning. Well, not really goodbye, more like "keep yer butts down 'til I get there". More out the door lickety split. Don't know the exact show time of my airlift, but by this time next week I'll be living in a tent again.

Lots of last minute scrambling, way too much to worry about. Soon all that will become unimportant as my focus shifts to the job at hand. "Ayo Shadow Warriors", the boys are back in "town".:D :) :D

If I get a chance to post from over there I will, but if I don't then let me take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your generosity, for your support, and for your friendship. Kuwait, and points beyond, are about to be flooded with HI khukuris, each one of 'em a symbol of your caring and concern for our men and women in uniform. Be proud of my young knuckleheads, they're already proud of you.:)

Sarge,

You're one of the reasons this forum is so alive. I've learned a lot from you, and not just about knives and such.

Come back in one piece. Prayers will follow.

Joe

Hold off Jim, we're in a 3-5 day window (now they tell me), and I got young single guys (including this not so young single guy) forwarding their mail to friends/relatives until we get a good APO address over there.

Speaking of addresses, anybody that wants to, please send your e-mail & snail mail (already got paper and envelopes packed, but I'll warn you right now I'm terrible about writing) address to; Gregory.Sikes@hood.army.mil sometime today, and I'll jot it down in this shiny new address book I just bought.:D

Sarge, My thoughts and prayers will be with you and the rest. Don't need to tell you to be careful. You're well trained and have the experience.

Awaiting your speedy return, safe and sound. DAG

Good luck Sarge! Be safe. If you can take a disposable camera with you, do some pics for us, free shipping for you over there. Uncle should still have my address so you can send the disposable and Ill host and post the pics for you...gotta have some Sand Box pics of you guys with all those donated khurkuris!

Be safe. If you can bring back a WMD for testing please post the results in the forum.

Well now, y'all got me thinking. There'll no doubt be chemical monitors and alarms set up all over the place. I better do some coordination with the chem platoon in our AO. See the problem is while my guys' digestive systems are getting readjusted to MREs and T-rations, there'll be no shortage of noxious vapors floating around that could trigger a false alarm. I ain't lying, some of the boys ought to be tried as war criminals for what comes out their tailpipes. Makes my nose burn and my eyes water just thinking about it.:barf: :D

Take care buddy. We'll keep the light on for ya. Once you get there, if you need anything, just let me know.

Steve

When the time is right I'll take you to visit the BirGorkha charpi. What you're smelling now will seem like $1000 per ounce perfume.

Tell the Gorkhas Uncle Bill & Pala send their regards -- and don't volunteer for anything.

Stay well, safe, and hurry back.

Keep your ass down and get back to us soon, with as many of out boys as possible too. God be with you Sarge.

Sarge,

Good luck and Godspeed. You and your "knuckleheads" are definitely in our thoughts and prayers.
