OT: No more hurry up and wait

Sarge

May you be safe my friend, come home safe and kick some ass !!

I'll send up prayers and smoke everynight Bro.

:(

Brendan

I appreciate the prayers Brendan, but don't be worrying about me mate. I've got enough scars and grey whiskers to prove I've been around the block a time or two. Besides, there's pluses to the deal, I've not had a proper cup of English tea since Desert Storm.

Only thing that's got me concerned is all the "irregular" fighting going on. It was kind of spooky in Afghanistan where the enemy doesn't wear uniforms and anybody could be the enemy. Ask Pappy, and some of the other 'Nam vets about operating in a place where you got to treat everybody like a potential threat to your very life. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have any problem giving a fellow a few more orifices than mother nature did if I have to. I'm just worried about innocent folks getting caught in the middle of it, and naive troops falling victim to enemies that look like friends.

Good luck Sarge! I wish that it wasn't necessary for you to go, but I know you wouldn't have it any other way. Keep those young 'uns in line;).

Keep it all together Sarge!!!! You and your knuckleheads will be remembered in our Ceremonials for no casulties and a safe return!!!!

Stay safe Sarge and give em hell. And if you see Saddam, I dont think a boot to the ass violates Geneva conventions, does it;) :D
God bless.

Sarge,
God Speed! Good Luck! Be Safe! Don't have the words to thank you and all the others enough. I hope you and all your men (and women) come home safe.
Remember what Patton said "Your job isn't to dye for your country. Your job IS to make the other SOB dye for his!"

We're all pullin' for ya'. And, Sarge, you know that "don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes" stuff. Well....forget that, OK. :p

Good luck and Godspeed to you, Sarge.

When and if trigger time comes, don't hesitate. Come back in one piece.

for us to be proud of his knuckleheads. I think I can say with no uncertainty that all of this forum is down right proud of all our men and women in uniform serving our great country. Just wish I could help more. :) :)

Good luck Sarge, and watch out for those MRE backfires! I've been around a few more of those than I would have liked to myself. I'll be thinking of you and all of our guys over there, and I might end up joining you before long. If so I've got a GS that'll be making the trip with me, so I'm sure I'll be all right. Until then, give 'em hell.

Good luck and god's speed Sarge. Keep the kids safe and your own tail down.God bless and remerber we are all proud of you.

If anybody's got enough up their sleeves to do the best job possible, that's gotta be you, Sarge.:)

God(by all names) bless, and safe return.

Shirley

Sarge,

Good luck! Worry about keeping you and your's safe. Iraqi civilians are a distant second in my book.
