I guess so, I have been carrying this a lot lately and I love it:

I sold all three CRK knives I had (I had a beautiful snakewood sebenza also) and now carry either that Patriot or one of my Striders.

Rolf it's an one off by David of OTK. 4" wharncliffe blade of S690, sculpted black G10. Fit and finish are immaculate, came with a mirror edge and holds the edge forever. I'll post a pic when I get home tonight.

I like it too.

I would not have bought it for $500, but I bought it brand new in the box for $300 & it's turned out to be one of my all time favorite knives.

LOL, I don't think so...

I really like all the tan handle Emersons (I have Desert Roadhouse & a tan scale CQC-7V). I love the looks of the tan scales, but I also like how they are thicker in the hand due to the tan scales being thicker than the black G-10.

The wood scale Patriot is also thicker and feels better in my hand than my stock Patriot. When NATH gets done with my 3rd Patriot it will be on the thicker side also.

Nice thread Rolf; I don't cheat, but rather I bring another knife along with one of my Emersons--typically one of these, as they are less intimidating to most if and when the need for a blade arises in public:

I think when I carry my slipjoint, it takes me back to my youth.

I'm somewhere in the middle of young and old, but I get the nostalgia; both my grandfathers carried a slip joint. There is something unhurried and ageless about a good slip joint, and GEC does a great job making them. That said, I don't like going without an Emerson in my pocket.

For utility nasty work I use my Japanese made Emerson hard wear knife.
