I have one of those and carried it every day until I got the Gunting (still do on some days anyway). That is one BIG folder!!!! I like to open it by starting the blade out with my thumb and flicking my wrist--it makes a loud, satisfying SNAP! when that big ole blade swings into full lock. It makes almost anyone say "Damn! that's a big one" of course I'm used to hearing that from the ladies;) (I only wish they weren't talking about my a$$;):D)

LOL!:)

Natasha is doing a lot better now. Though, she is still PO'd. She and Nancy are looking into taking M/A along with the Rape Prevention class that Tasha is already in. Thanks again for the prayers and good advise.

Showed Tasha the HI shopping site and she likes some of the knives Exspecially the Sirupatis and Royal Silver Mounted Dhankuta.:D

She's doing the right thing...aggressively preparing herself to respond.

I raised my daughters and took them once a week to a class held by a Womens' group called Chimera, which held ACTIVE PARTICIPATION classes in women's self defense and environmental awareness. The organization would not let me, nor any other man, in the classroom space...for fear of women being self-conscious talking about, and doing some of the exercises.

They were in early adolescence at the time, and (thankfully) only once did one of them need to use the training. An almost-assault. The aspect of the training that helped in that situation was not use of something as a weapon, but aggressive response and retreat.

For those with less upper-body mass (like women) getting the hell out of the situation is a better option than closing with the assault perp.

You know all of us wish her the best, and some may even wish they could ... er... "address the issue" with whoever is responsible.

She is responding as a person in charge of HER life, and not as a victim...the best way to go about a rotten situation.

Best Wishes.

Nothing wrong with a folder to carry and a Sirupati or Dhankuta under the pillow.
