OT - scissor recommendations

I'll third the Cutco shears. I've only had mine 20 years (I'm a ways behind Phil) but I think that's a long enough time frame to say they work out pretty good.

Thanks again for all the replies. I have a 4-year old, and under supervision he uses scissors. With that in mind, I could not see spending over $100 on the highly recommended Cutco shears only to have my son use them to cut crayons, his hair and plastic dinosaurs. The Cutco shears looked really awesome, and I will probably end up buying a pair in a few years.

I did get a pair of Kai 5210 8-inch Dressmaking Shears. For less than $20, these things are awesome. They are super sharp. The fit / finish is great, especially considering the price. Thanks for recommending these swonut.

As always, this forum rocks. You guys are both fun and a great source of knowledge on a variety of subjects. I look forward to hanging out here in 2017 and hopefully meeting more of you at Blade later this year.
