So since my incident I haven't been able to do much or do it well and shooting was one of these things . So I read Lora's thread on whatcha packing and think somewhere else I saw cricket Dave post some single actions, so I went out and shot a ruger vaquero 357 mag and much to my and my buddies surprise I wasn't bad. So a stop at my gun store where I had just got a rem 870 tac model with xs sights and rail I was back and got a nice Uberti cattleman case hardened 357mag and got a triple k leather holster and belt and love it all. I stopped wearing my glocks for the most part and the rig I got is so comfortable I can sleep in it. I know pics well I don't know how to post pics I'm just not that advanced on a computer....lol. I'm just happy to shoot again without pain or shaking.

Very cool I'm glad you can enjoy shooting it, hard to beat a good single action. Add a good lever gun in the same caliber and you'll have a sweet set.

I agree Otter! But you can't have a gun thread without pics. Here is my Colt SAA in .45LC. I will need to pick up a single action .357 at some point.

:thumbup:Glad to hear your enjoying your single action 357 mag. I've been wanting to get a single action revolver for a while. :)

Congrats on your score! Single actions are fun; I have a Ruger Blackhawk in .30 carbine.:D:thumbup:

Had a Blackhawk in 45 Colt for 6 or 7 years, it was fun, but ended up selling it because my 657 was more fun to shoot.

If I was going SA again, a Schofield would be my pick

I cam to single action revolvers late in life, but have acquired three in the last few years.

The Lipsey's Bisley Ruger .44 Special

A Magnum Research .44 Magnum

And last but not least, an old-style Bisley Ruger Vaquero .44 mag with an action and trigger job by the late Bob Munden! It is simple incredible. sometime it pays to lean way over and look on the back row of the bottom shelf at the gun shop, which is exactly where I found this one.

I had a stainless 4 5/8ths inch Blackhawk in .45 colt that wish I never would have sold. Ended up replacing it with a 6 inch Freedom Arms five shooter in .454 casull. Been thinking about sending it in and having the barrel bobbed back a little.

I have this old thing

If your having trouble finding 41 colt I have a buddy who specializes in the old calibers I bet he could hook you up. I know he has dies, and molds to load it for sale and probably has a brass source. Pm me if you need his contact info.

Yep. Have a Ruger Vaquero 45 LC/ACP Convertible hogleg here, Pardner.

Or two or.... (took these 45's and 480 to the range today)

a couple DA's snuck into the case too...(both 45's)

and my Wife's Bearcat to add one more little SA...

Stump

My favorite hammers are SA, and Colt, Ruger, and Freedom Arms are always recommended. BE FOREWARNED; HOWEVER. They are just like cold beer, tater chips, and Busse knives........., you CAN'T HAVE JUST ONE!!!:)
