OT: single action fun....everyone should have 1

Single actions are great, fun as hell to shoot, can be used for hunting, plinking , self defense they got it all- bit slow to reload but WTH, usually 5 or 6 beans will suffice.

Cowboy action guys can shot them fast as a machine pistol. amazing to see it-

Colts are great something about them a special magic- but pricey and hard to find, Ruger new vaquero is a very nice revolver study as a tank and 6 beans in the wheel no problem.

"Yep. Have a Ruger Vaquero 45 LC/ACP Convertible hogleg here, Pardner."

That's a nice way to go 45 ACP ammo is ez to find and cheaper, Vaqueros in 357 have a lot of steel in then and are a bit heavy, 45 bore lightens them out somewhat.

Nice thumb buster here- no "fanning" though- no need for that..

Just got the call. New pair of Cimarrons came in. Now I just have to break away to pick them up.

Took my pair of Ruger Vaquero Montados out yesterday for some range time. Gotta love playing cowboy.

Sippin' a little Jack Daniels tonight......, but, tomorrow.... Taking my favorite Bisley hunting rig out to try Winchester's Razorback XT .44 Magnum. Less than two months until deer season!!! CAN'T WAIT.

I love my single actions! Especially since I started reloading and can afford to shoot my 45Colt guns a lot more :) The balance of power, reliability, and accuracy a good SA delivers makes them a viable choice even with today's advances in design.

I am with ya's on the SA addiction!!! I love my Ruger's. I have 2 single six's, a Super Blackhawk in 41 magnum and 2 Super Blackhawks in 44 magnum. My next SA will be either a Magnum Research or Freedom Arms in 454 Casull. I was waiting for Ruger to come out with a S.B. in 454 and got tired of waiting and got a Super Redhawk in 454. I love my wheel guns most of all. I own a lot of semi autos and carried one for years working in L.E. but keep my 41 mag loades for home defense next to my tricked out 12 gauge
