Friday night I slipped on some wet marble stairs while out on the town with the boys and have spent the last 3 days in hospital. Surgery yesterday, pins, plates and 8 screws !!

I did the right ankle in 2 years ago playing rugby and now this !!

Truly a test of ones determination to overcome adversity !!

:barf:

Jaysusmerrynjoesuf!!!!!

And I'm supposed to cross Africa with you in five years? You can't even walk on stairs !!!

You know what's gonna happen now? Those backyard cats are going to learn of your current weakness, and some night, when the Sainted Jilly isn't around, they are going to gather in the darkness, and claw their way into the house, and

Delete your AVATAR !!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA...........

Get well soon. Don't do this any more.

Kismet is right, Brendan, you really need a new atavar.

I'm sorry for your pain. But you are young and curable! I think though, I'd go to work on another bone after this. Twice is the limit.

Maybe you should get that boa, after all.

Get well quickly. Hobbling sucks.

Brendan,
I did the same thing a few years ago. I hope the socialized medicine in Great Britain will spriing for some good pain pills. Hope you get better soon. Chin up lad.

Brendan--sorry to hear about your ankle--that really sucks. Hope you have a rapid and thorough recovery.

Ouch!!!:eek: Brendan, get well soon! Take it easy and follow the doctors orders. ;)

You're causing me to "flash back" to my last broken bone. A quick, long step onto a wet tile floor, then: "Oh look, my feet are higher than my head." :( Do what you have to do to knit up well -- and stay vertical for G**'s sake.

"One broken leg is better than two, but still it is not a source of joy."--Thomas Paine

While I've been blessed to date not to break any bones, I can feel your pain.

That's our Two Dogs!!!! ;)

Just be glad it doesn't have anything to do with your back TD's.:p

I've had two concussions in two years due to slips and falls. I just discovered SAS shoes two weeks ago and they really help with slick surfaces. I tried a company called Shoes For Crews, and while you could walk up a greased flagpole in them, they hurt my feet, so I had to send them back.

Good luck getting thru airports from now on! Take your X-rays with you when you fly for the first few times.

well if you'd quit wearing those damn stilletto heels everywhere like the awkward tranvestite we all know you are, maybe you wouldnt keep snapping your ankles...
