It's always nice to have some good news to share with friends, and you all are some of the best I've got so here it is. This morning I was officially promoted to Sergeant in the US Army for the whole four months I have left. :) Gotta love military logic huh? I should be getting some pictures in e-mail tomorrow or the next day, I'll be sure to post them when they get in. Now the question for all of you is which HI product is the best to celebrate a promotion with? ;)

That's great Sarge! Congratulations! How about a Sarge knife to commemorate the occasion? Or one of Sargeant Karka's?

Congratulations, RR.

But 4 months isn't a long time to straighten out the military. Better hurry.

Congrats...

Now you can go and boss around some of those new recruits. :D

Make someone drop down and give you 25 for me.

Congrats Buck! Yep the Army always seems to promote right before you get out...just a way to make you think about staying in longer...carrot in front of the horse! Congrats again!

Congratulations Sergeant Roadrunner. The state and the military do it this way I guess - neverteless it is good news.

Hooah, Sarge.

BTW, I just moved to Augusta, and last Friday was my last day full time at my old job in Waynesboro, so we might be able to find time to get together. My new place is off Washington Road. Thinking of having just a couple friends over Saturday night, if you'd like to come?

John

Congrats nonetheless. BTW, I'll save my toast for the Blade Show. ;)

Gonna be able to make it Spectre?

Wow, thanks everyone! You all get a smack with the rep point stick. :) Hmm, one at a time.

ferguson, excellent idea. Why didn't I think of that one first?

Aardvark, thank the Lord I don't have that job. All I have to do is whip a few PT failures into shape. Oh, and my other new duty as the Company re-enlistment NCO. My parents got a real kick out of that one. It should be fun.

Bruise, I've always thought it would be more fun to just make them do push-ups with me until I'm tired. I did 93 in two minutes on a PT test last year.

John, you'll have e-mail shortly. Thanks for the invitation. :)

Hey Sarge...

Congratulations, short-timer.

You wacherass, hear? This is no time to get careless. :D

Be well and safe.

Congrats Sarge!!!! :D  :D Does this mean another four years? ;)

LOL, actually that's why it's so funny I've been appointed the re-enlistment NCO, because I've been so adamant about not ever re-enlisting, not for love nor money. Although I've enjoyed a lot of my time in the Army, it's not the life for me and I don't want to get sucked in as a lifer. This might be a typical scenario in my new job:

Specialist Screwball: SGT Maloney, when can I re-enlist, I want to be a career man!
Me: No you don't. Get down and push until you come to your senses.

Or something to that effect. Hey, this could be fun! :p
