OT Stuck in traffic for 4 hours...

Uh, it is the exception, not the rule. We usually just have high school kids shooting 16 year old girls and dumping them in an alley or some such, nasty business.

Actually, after living in Indy and observing crime patterns, seems like most shootings are rather directed and are cause/effect, not random drive-bys. People here prefer handguns as opposed to assault rifles, so usually no innocent bystanders are hurt. Or maybe indiana shooters are more accurate.

I have had friends who have been shot at just a mile from my house. Some kids were jacking a friend's car, and he heard his car alarm, so he and others ran ouut to see what's up. Hi-Skool kidz see them all coming, and starts firing wildly at them, empties about 8 shots from small frame auto (22 or 380) while fleeing. They all felt a bit of shock, but were lucky not to get hit.

Another buddy of mine involved in this shooting was putting the letters up on the marquis of a local hi-volume club when a guy who got kicked out came back and unloaded a revolver into the box office. He was up on the ladder, and heard/saw the bullets spanging off the facade jsut under his feet. If he'd been on the ground, he might have been hit. He was justifiably shaken (you'd think he'd get used to it by now).

Ferrous, you've been reading too much news print. There's a lot of talk about assault weapons but damn few are used in crime, and that includes LA.

Didn't Indy have a riot?

Bruise whenever Im in traffic, I just start talking back to the voices. Its one of the few times we get to have quality time anymore.:eek: :confused: :p :D

Well if this should ever happen and Bruise hits a windshield head on it will be his feet that will be the last thing that enters his mind, unlike a bug.:p :rolleyes: :p

I've wondered and wondered that when a lightning bug hits a windshield head on and the last part of his anatomy enters its mind if suddenly its mind is illuminated.:p

Does anyone here have an opinion about that? As if I didn't know the answer.:rolleyes: :p
