I may bring bear spray just for moose. I may hit some trees around my campsites and hope that the smell will keep critters away! I really don't want to tangle with a moose!

Good idea. I just watched some videos the other day of moose attacks. They dont look very friendly.

Garth I'm with you on that! I saw some vids of moose just goin nuts on people and it definitły is not a critter I wanna mess with at all! They are cool from a distance but I'm not getting anywhere close to one I'll leave that for someone dumber than me. So far they are my biggest worry but with my luck a chipmunk will attack me and viciously maul me!

The info pamphlet that came with my UDAP brand bear spray advises to NOT spray the area around your site; some bears will actually be attracted by the smell. The spray is designed to be sprayed into the face of an animal to deter it.;)
 
Lol...well there goes that idea! Thanks for the heads up! I don't mind Bears but I certantly don't want to attract them! I have never had bear spray before I was just gonna use it for the moose and use it like I stated before. So I will be taking that off my list. I do know it's some nasty stuff and have seen a person take a hit from bear spray so the farther away from me it is the better off I am. Thanks again or I would have had every bear in the woods comming to hangout with me!
 
Hopefully, the lack of food smells as well as urine odor would keep them both away!;):thumbup:
 
He should be camped near a good supply; just needs a filter of some kind.;):thumbup: That way he doesn't have to worry about boiling water all the time.
 
There are plenty of lakes and streams to camp near so unless of a drout I should be fine. I have been looking at many water purification methods as boiling is gonna be my last option. I'm going for ultra light gear with the assumption that lugging around full body armor ammo Ect plus packs from 3day size to expidition size I should be okay! It's more a personal goal since my injuries to take on a challenge to prove I'm not as worthless as I feel.
