OT: TonyG it's finished

So, you think you can still out run him?

Bikemen.jpg

As you can see in the picture, Tony has quite a bit of wind resistance, but still takes the lead. If Cobalt would trim the dew a little and fully zip the "windbreaker" jacket, I feel there would be a chance at victory or at least a close tie.:D

Actually I think you still need the pedals to make it go really fast.....

-- and a "Amy-0 Pink" water bottle would be keen-ooo!! ......:D

Screaming nice bike though!! Personally fit frame?

I just got back from a "dirt ride". Nice day here no fog and cool.

OK Cobalt, but to be fair lets do a 15 mile climb and you get one cup of gas and I get one cup of water.:p

tony, I have the bike built to beat you up the hills:

Inspite of Tony's advice, I went with Clinchers.

That's pretty slick, but that seat looks uncomfortable. I like lots of padding and some springs. :) Hey, where the heck is the cup holder for the margaritas? I am sweating just looking at that thing. :D

don't you know? the cup holder is always on your helmet:rolleyes:

Tony, how about a quart:D

I have a Klein Pulse with carbon fiber handle bars and seat post.
It weighs 24 pounds, I can't believe that only weighs 16.

I owned Spinergy Carbon fiber rims and they lasted 3 weeks before one folded up like a wet paper bag.
They would not warranty their product.
If you weigh 200 plus pound you better watch them!

OWWWW!!!! Man, I just ha*************************************************************** * ***ion of a fast down hill run and a calamitous end with a folding rim!!!:eek::eek: Be careful man!

What the heck!?!?!? Well that is supposed to say "ha******************************************************************************************* * ***ion of...". I wonder what that is all about! It won't let me edit the * out. Crazy darned computers.

Damn!!!!!!!! Let's try something. *********************************************************** is the word spelled by the missing letters. * * *** Looks like the forums has a problem with a simple name, it is editing what amounts to a surname like it used to do curse words. Soory for jacking up you thread Blue Boy. I am going to ask Spark about this one.

I'm not sure what the word is that you are trying to spell but I'll try a couple of names to see what it does. Smith Jones Davis Isaacson Henderson

Finally, someone with some common sense posted on this thread!!!!

Were those the ones with the four big carbon spokes? They were famous for just blowing up if you hit a bump:eek:. But usually you had to have a small cut in the carbon first.

They were the first issue with the spokes!
First I dinged the rear on a curb, then the next day it blew out.
The Company would not replace it, so I had it blown of my mastercard and mailed them the pieces!:D:D They were close to $700:mad:

yes, the spinergy 4 spoke rims were notorious for disintegrating.

These spinergy's are high quality and much better than. It's amazing how one bad type makes people wonder about all the rest. I have had Spinergy spox wheels which outlasted all my other rims and never went out of true. I just replaced the cartridge bearings on them and they are 10 years old. So Spinergy rules.

Jerry, you gotta try Macallan Cask strength with 1/4 water. It' nectar.

It was amazing that Spinergy survived that product. It wasn’t just one bad kind of wheel; at the time it was the only wheel they made. You can’t make something that badly and sell it to people hoping that they don't blow up at 35 m.p.h. and someone ends up spiting teeth.

very true, I am not sure how they survived, but I guess i wasn't as bad as it seemed since I still see tons of messenger bikes in DC with rev-X wheels. So I don't think they were all bad. In any case you know that what came later had to be made well and they were. The Spox weels I have are so much lighter, spin easier and have lasted longer than my campy, mavic, bontrager and shimano wheels, before needing maintenance.
