1) Go on e-bay (the depths of Hell)

2) Find a Seiko that looks like the watch you want.

3) Buy it for 1/2 or 1/10 of the price of the brand you wanted.

4) Enjoy the watch for 10 or 15 years.

5) Spend your savings on INF!!!

Damasko, Sinn, Marcello C., Stowa, Nomos, Jorg Schauer, Jacques Etoile, Muhle, and Limes are just a few other brands (among many, many more) that could be added along with that Tutima.. ;)

absolutely. Good choices all of them. If you spend a little more you get more sometimes.

Titoni is a great watch as well and I have seen their Divers watch with swiss mechanical movement go for mid 300's

My wife gave me a Breitling B1 Superquatz for my birthday (held +7 seconds for the year). I am very pleased with it. I also am a TimeZone member and highly recommend going there to see and learn a little bit about watches. And, yes, it is like knives. $$$

Stu, what is your TZ handle?

This has been waaaay educational so far. I'm totally new to Tutima, Sinn and Damasko, for instance, and all of them seem really great. The problem is that those are also out of my target budget. Doesn't mean I won't up the target, but may end up just lusting after them for a while.

Blancpain and the like would be even better, and I was already familiar with them, but like Cobalt said, way way out of my target price range. That's way too much Infi that would need to be missed. I read Cobalt's thread about paying for anniversary gifts instead of buying more Infi.
