OT Whos from Ontario and where? Would like to get some instruction

Hey Everyone.

New to the knife making.. Been putting together knives from pre made blanks and I am getting ready to build a press and forge so I can start to make my own..

I am from Delhi Ontarioi and just wondering where my fellow Ontarians are from.. Was hoping I could meet up with some of you to see the forging process on making blades...

I have great ideas but want to see how it's done first....

Any help would be great.. I have been reading lot's, watching Mr. Caffrey's videos, etc..... A hands on always helps as well.

I strictly make dust, no forging skills at all.

It would be nice if there was an Ontario hammerin once in a while.
 
an i'm way up north from you... .. an nope, haven't heard of any hammer'ins down there.. there is OABA for southern ontario blacksmithing ..... ckg aswell but i don't think they have any instruction or hammer'ins ....they just sell stuff

Im about as south as you can get before hitting the border good ol St.Catharines im not exactly a maker (not yet at least) but its good to know theres a few more makers around.

Gotcha beat... I'm in Wheatley, 10mins from Point Pelee, the most Southern Tip of Canada. Wally Hayes, Abe Alias and Jeff Diotte are out here, too.
