OT- Yet another smoke request

Spoke to my cousin, who is a nurse and who called EMS yesterday (my aunt is stubborn, and dislikes doctors).

Only a small part of Aunt Fern's heart is currently functioning. They don't know if this is a "Hurricane" heart attack or if there was a blockage that has already moved on its own.

No apparent change in condition, but she was happy to hear I'd called to check on her. Said to tell me she loved me, too. :)

Actions have reactions. Thanks for all the positive action here, y'all. I suppose sometimes it's easy to see the negative, the dull, the drab, the miserable around us, and to forget the positive, the beautiful, and the kind.

Well, most of my aunt's heart appears to still not be working, but I'm told she looks fine. They let her go tonight, and she was out playing board games when I called.

We never know how much time we have, but I reckon she's making the most of her time.
