Seems like this was once posted in the Community Forum, there was quite a discussion about it there. The general supposition IIRC was that it was an old, sick, or tired lion on one of those canned hunting preserves.:( I think it should've really mauled the guy instead of just making a swipe at him.:D
 
Don't see the sport in that.

Now if the guy went hunting alone with only a 16.5" AK.....maybe.
