What sorts of medicines would you recommend for travel to the tropics?

OTC medicines for off-the-beaten-path travel?

Not exactly OTC, but all recommended vaccinations, on exact schedule. Surgical desinfection solution, broad-band antibiotics, medicinal charcoal, water purification tablets,insect repellant (lots of it), Malaria pharmaceuticals if applicable/useful, aspirin, a potent anesthetic pharmaceutic, Basic first aid kit, sterile scalpel blades. Basic survival medicine knowledge. Vodka or whiskey (good breakfast before suspected food problems).

Pepto Bismol tablets help most travelor's diarhea. Meat tenderizer for certain bug stings. Cortizone cream for itching bites. Aloe gel for burns and sunburn. Tolnaftate or similar antifungal cream. Neosporin ointment for cuts and scrapes. Aspirin for heart attack and stroke (yes I'm serious). Aleve for general pain and strains.

Benedryl for allergies (other things ...)
Aspirin (still magic stuff)
Imodium AD (for diarhea)
Household bleach (water/bleach ratio of 9:1 for insect bites)
Oil of Cloves (for toothache)
Tea tree oil (study up on it's uses ... I have the stuff with me all the time)
Vinegar (lots of uses)

Well, I'm tired and I can't remember which pain reliever it is, but one of them is also a muscle relaxant (I think it has a "B" in it, but I'm not sure). That should be good for mild sprains, general muscle fatigue, etc. Personally, I don't carry pain relievers, because I'm some sort of freak and nothing short of Perkaset has any affect on me, and even then, not much (you would think it would be a fun thing to brag about, but when you've had a chunk of bone cut out, you want something that does more than take the edge off).
