'Other' collections (non-knives/watches/firearms/etc).

Shopgoodwill dot com is where I get most of my used machines I like the 50's-60's White brand machines. But watch shipping west coast stores and new England stores try to get more profit by over charging on shipping

DVD'S, die cast cars ( I've got a wall full ), airguns, tools, and stickers ( on the DVD cabinet )
The die cast cars are the only true collection as everything else is just an accumulation that gets used.

Here's a glimpse of a small portion of the die cast.

Mostly hot wheels and others of the same scale such as Johnny lightening, but there are some slightly larger scale " adult collectable " types.
A lot of Pontiac GTO'S
I have a childhood fondness for Hot Wheels and an adult fondness for GTO's.

Hot wheels have always been something I've enjoyed.
I used to only care about the classic / muscle car castings, but lately I've been drawn to the fantasy castings.
Lots of wacky ones out there.

I still love the ones based in reality though, with this year being the 50th anniversary they've got some real nice stuff this year.

Here's a few recent additions

I really love the 50th anniversary '68 Dodge dart and the Zamak series olds 442.

I remember as a youngin, my buddies and I used to have drag races. I also remember having a Dodge Dart with a slant 6 motor as a commuter.
H & S, do you have someone to hand your collection down to?
For a while, I was collecting old pop bottles. Only because I kept running across them and they reminded me of my youth. I also have about 15 or 20 old metal toys. Some are the real McCoy and some are replicas. Stuff from the 50's and early 60's. Only because I like them. Not because I think they'll be worth money someday.
They say if you're going to collect something, make sure you love what you're collecting. Kinda like knives. :)

A million years ago it used to be comic books. Unfortunately nothing worthy of paying for my sons college...

Been doing S&W revolvers since I was a kid. First pistol I ever shot was a little I frame, .32 when I was eight. Been in love with them ever since.

Back when I was still on the cop job I collected shoulder patches. Ended up with all fifty SP/HP patches. Then did all fifty Fish & GAme, Warden patches. then started on Aviation units. Haven't done anything with them in years.

Have a small collection of military aviation stuff.

I'm enjoying the knife interest. FAR cheaper than old revolvers. Also easier to find and no hoops to jump through with an FFL to ship them.

Ertl tractors; the larger size. I find them really cool. Occasionally I'd pick up a Ertl truck of some kind.
Have a Colt delivery truck that is really cool. Colt firearm advertising literature.
Some old stuff.... like a Alidade. People don't use them anymore.
Art (primarily water colors); mostly regional artists that I like. Not an investment thing for me. It was a major money pit for a while.

My other hobby besides knives, guns, adventures, and gear is Marvel comics. The Wife and I are on our way to collecting every marvel movie, on top of reading a borderline concerning amount of comics on the Marvel unlimited app.

It's weird, hate start wars, hate star trek, not a fan of lord of the rings, but Marvel? I nerd out hard to Marvel. My father even named me after Woverine. Guess its a family thing.

My favorites are Deadpool, Wolverine, and Cable. My house is filled with so many Marvel decorations/posters I'm running out of places to put things....

Mean Beaver - you talk about running out of places to put things, I made a shelf out of weathered barnwood. It's not real big, but that's where I display my old stuff that's near and dear to me. After a while, I rotate it out and display something else.
