Other inexpensive quality blades

Bang being the operative word, I've gone through a succession of Voyagers. There my basic beaters that I can pry with even without too much worry. Sure, they're not that tough, but at 25 bucks a pop, they're just this side of disposable.
Gerber, Kershaw, and Cold Steel all three make $20-$30 knives tough enough to get your money's worth out of even if you're abusive as me. Keep in mind, I don't treat all of my knives like this, that's why I buy beaters, to spare the ones I care about.
CRKT has a fine product for the price, but they tend to stress mechanical action over durability. At least to me, they just don't last as long. Lock backs seem to be stouter to abuse than liners too.

BENCHMADE Griptilian and SPYDERCO Calypso Jr. Ltw. and Delica (new one has sabre-ground VG-10 blade!) are hard to beat in bang-for-the-buck competition.
