Other than Spyderco...

Spyderco's are my favourite factory folders.. I love the character that each of their designs possess. I'm not particular to any one design so much as i love all of them for their individuality. In addition to Spydies I collect mainly Custom Folders and Fixed Blades... I have recently discovered CRK and love the Sebenza. I also have a slowly diminishing collection of BM's from my BM days. I also have a soft spot for Older Kershaws from a few years ago.. such as the Mini-Task, Random-Task, Ricocchet and the Ti-Wild Wild Turkeys and similar ones.

Spydie Sm folder (EDC)
SwampRat fixed blade (camping etc.,)
 
I have several Microtech's, REKAT's, and customs. The EDC mix is a SAC Tinker, Micarta Jester, and Leatherman Wave along with a Blue G-10 Native, Proto Lynx, REKAT Cub, or a custom for special occasions.
 
My other favorites are Microtech, Benchmade, Swamp Rat, Fallkniven, Victorinox, Queen, etc., etc....

SAK, other slipjoints, opinel, my ontario machete..I really like little work knives, and try to collect them-like electricians knives, ring knives for hay/newspaper balers and that kind of thing.
 
Spydercos are my favorite,but I also like Benchmade, Victorinox, CRKT,Case and Hammer Brand knives all for different usages and reasons.tom.:)
 
Besides my Spyderco Military I do especially like Fällkniven knives - I have the S1 and the WM-1. Both are excellent hard-use knives. No beauties but USERS in both design and materials (Fällkniven knives are made from VG-10 or laminated VG-10).

If you are looking for a small and durable fixed blade (neck) knive, give the WM-1 a try.

Gotta go with CRKT, especially the Lightfoot M1. It's just a cool knife to haul around with you. Although... that new Benchmade Axis auto looks pretty good too.

My other favorite carries are as follows: BM 942, BM 710AL, large plain Classic Sebenza, SAK Night Manager (always on keychain), SAK One-handed Trailmaster, Opinel #8 (always in lunch sack), Emerson LaGriffe, Emerson waved CQC-7, Camillus CudaMaxx, Strider AR (briefcase carry sometimes) and MicroTech Socom Elite. My choice of carry depends on what situation(s) I anticipate for the day.

Multi-tool: Either a LM SideClip or LM Wave.
 
uhm crkt kiss gold (really a la "Shaft" ), cold steel urban pal, kershaw chive, schrade toughtool (good), bowie from Tramontina, and now - I'M TOO HAPPY !- i've bought my first custom !! a Neck Hawk from Al Alexander (AABlades) , lovely.
