ouch...AXIS lock failure. Wonder what happened

Blade looks polished, unlike mine. It more of a satin finish from the factory.
Wonder if it was ground down or overly polished where the lock is supposed to ramp up?

Just one look at the desk and it tells you that this aint his first time at a spine whack, as others have pointed out. And from the depth of the marks on the desk, looks like the lock held up pretty well the first 50 times.

probably sat there spine whacking it for hours til it broke. If you push a knife enough, it will fail. Or it was a dud

As mentioned by the other folks in this thread, the deep gouges in the desk where the guy has been sitting around slamming the spine of his knives into the table until they fail are pretty indicative of just that.

The pliers and tools on the bench might of had something to do with it as well. Anyone who has taken a finely fit piece of machinery knows if it is not put back together right it will likely fail.

That video's as old as the Sun. The guy who made it was outed as a troll and he has been banned (repeatedly) on BladeForums.

What was his name again...? Vincent Perricone (Vinny)

I remember that he also tried to defraud New Graham Knives.
